Today I am going to make a rice from cabbage! This is a popular dish in South India. You can make this rice even for those who do not eat meat for a special occasion.
Ingredients:
2 cups of cooked rice
2 cups chopped cabbage
3 tablespoons of oil (vegetable oil or coconut oil)
Mustard seeds 3/4 tbsp
Ginger 1 tbsp
Karapincha leaves 5-6
Country Cashew Tablespoons2
Sprouted raw chilli pods 1
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/4 grated carrot
Tablespoons chopped fish chili 2 tbsp
1/2 teaspoon of salt
Yellow powder 1/4 tbsp
1/2 teaspoon of chili powder
1/2 teaspoon of garam masala powder (available at supermarkets)
Tablespoons of grated coconut2
A little chopped coriander leaves
How to make:
First, take a pot and put it on the stove, add oil, mustard, ginger and curry leaves and keep the mustard until it explodes.
Then add some peanuts and let it fry.
When the cashews are fried, add the salt and raw chillies and fry them too.
Then add the carrots and fish chilies.
When it cools down, add the cabbage and cook for about 3 minutes.
Add a pinch of salt.
Then add garam masala, chilli powder and turmeric powder to this vegetable mixture.
Now reduce the heat a little and add the cooked rice to the vegetable mixture and stir. At this time, add a little salt to taste.
Once the rice is cooked, cover the pan with a lid and cook for about 3 minutes. After 3 minutes, open the lid and see that the rice is nicely colored.
Then all we have to do is add the grated coconut and some coriander leaves to the rice and mix well.
