Now I am going to teach you how to make rice in a slightly different way. We are going to make this rice with coconut. This rice is a South Indian dish. What we have to say to this rice is like "coconut rice". They call this rice "Nariyal Chawal" or "Coconut Rice". We are going to change the way we make this a little bit and now we are going to make this to suit us.
It's very easy to make, and once the rice is cooked it takes a very short time to do the rest of the work.
Ingredients:
3/4 cup of grated coconut
2 cups of cooked rice
Coconut oil 3 tbsp
Mustard 1 tbsp
3-4 leaves of Karapincha
Dried Chili Carrots1
Raw chilli pods2
A little crushed ginger
Cashew nuts10
Teaspoons of salt
1 teaspoon of lentils (can be taken only if desired)
How to make:
First, heat a large saucepan, add a little oil, and stir in the curry, dried peppers, peas, and mustard.
Add the ginger and the raw chillies.
When it cools down, add some cashew nuts and let it fry for a while. Bake until the cashews are golden brown.
Then add the grated coconut and cook for about a minute.
Then add some rice to this mixture, add some salt and stir.
Then cover the pot with a lid and cook for about 2 minutes. This is done so that the flavor of the coconut is well absorbed into the rice.
that is all! All the work is done. Now all you have to do is try it with any curry you like.
